Laura's Broadcast Career

Laura Trant is a BBC News Presenter and Correspondent with two decades of broadcasting experience. She’s adept at delivering breaking news and developing stories, live from the studio and on location for national and global audiences.

 

Laura has presented the news on the BBC News Channel and BBC South TV. She has extensive experience of covering stories for BBC Breakfast, BBC News Channel, BBC World and the One, Six and Ten O’clock News. Laura has also reported in news bulletins and programmes for BBC Radio 4 and BBC 5 Live.​

 

For more than a decade Laura was a News Presenter at BBC South Today where she also presented and produced a series from post-genocide Rwanda. She began her career in local BBC radio and went on to work at the Press Association, 5 News, CBBC Newsround, and the Jeremy Vine Show on Radio 2 before heading into on-air TV roles.

 

Laura has also worked as a voice over artist for BBC iPlayer and fronted corporate videos. She has hosted and facilitated business events and conferences across many exciting industries.
